Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, Arrington Travel was founded in 1969 and then grew into the largest single-stockholder corporate travel management company in the United States. In 1998 Arrington Travel was sold to Navigant International, a $5-billion, publicly traded company with representation in the 25 largest U.S. business travel markets. Arrington Travel had over 500 employees, generated over a quarter of a billion dollars in annual sales, and served a wide variety of corporations and professional firms throughout the world. Navigant International was subsequently acquired by Carlson Wagonlit Travel, a multi billion dollar business travel management company operating in over 150 countries.
